I had the privilege of spending the day with a wonderful group of teachers eager to deepen their understanding of Structured Literacy. Together, we explored how effective literacy instruction goes beyond phonics, helping students become curious about words and the structure of our language. Through research-informed discussions, practical strategies, and hands-on activities, educators considered how to impleme nt strong literacy practices aligned with the new Ontario Curriculum. I look forward to returning in the fall to continue our learning together!
